    Film Inspiration: Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette This weekend Sofia Coppola's new film, The Beguiled, opens in theaters. It won the Cannes Film Festival this year, and looks perfectly creepy with its barren Southern mansion and Victorian furniture. It made me think of another one of Coppola's films, Marie Antoinette, which aesthetically is the complete opposite visually - full of vivid color. Married to King Louis XVI, who had an entire style of furniture name after him, her lavish lifestyle ultimately led to her demise, but the over the top style is certainly visually stunning on screen.
